My earlier post produced more replies than any of my previous and some heart felt comments, so what actually happened?
We all did our thing: Mrs chubby visited mother in law and came back with yet more plants she won`t get round to planting.
Mr chubby sneaked off sailing, bimbled round to his favourite anchorage in chi harbour, settled down to a chilled out evening with a few beers and the John Le carre novel he is trying to understand, has a great sail back to pompey and reappeared in time to pick daughter mark 2 up from sleepover.
Daughter mark 2 went to said sleepover, stayed up so late the dawn chorus stopped them going to sleep.
Managed to get back from ferrying daughter mark 2 in time to see daughter mark 1 come in from dinghy sailing and help her fix toestraps so she doesn`t fall out so often in exchange for sarnie at the sailing club.
Got the hoover out, quick whiz round downstairs, cut some bushes down, put out the washing and light the BBQ so Mrs Chubby thought I had been gardening and houseworking most of the weekend!!!!!
So we all had a great weekend, now it just remains to catch up on who got thrown out of the Joseph competition, watch Dr Who and find the games kit for school next week.
Now you can see why a trip on the boat is my sanity break and I haven`t even started about the pleasures of working for Tony Blair and Patricia Hewitt, it is not true doctors are always playing golf or doing private practice, we are down the boatyard!!!!!
Roll on next weekend, it will start all over again: how much of the bank holiday weekend can I get away for!!
