First time post so apologies if the information is somewhere here.
I've recently been looking at hallberg rassy 352 vessels and the problem is so have a lot of others it would appear. Anyway the other day I noticed a rasmus 35 and I must admit it looked very good, in fact I preferred it's lines to those of the 352.
I started looking for some information on the boat and it seems that the 35 has a following.
The 35 has a full keel, good but relatively shallow ballast ratio (4' 6'' draught I think) and weighs in at or around 12000 lbs. They're also about half the price of a 352 as well which is good!
I couldn't find much information on the design parameters of the yacht as they relate to stability, comfort and so on but I also read the 35 has a good track record for long distance cruising.
I'd be grateful to hear any comments as they relate to the 35 as a long distance cruiser and any information on the stability (stuff!) . Also information on any known problems would be good too.
I have logged on to the rasmus site but it's mostly for the American scene, nevertheless some interesting bits and pieces too.
And another thing the dollar demise makes buying outside euroland potentially quite attractive compared to a few weeks ago
