Hall sensor for Eberepacher heater

I've got an Eberepacher D2 that needs some love. I've bought a service kit and a flame/overheat sensor. I'd like to get a new hall sensor for the fan, but Eberepacher don't seem to offer it in their spares list. Anyone know where to get one?

Apparently the chinaspachers will run happily on 28sec heating oil, aka kerosene..
I hope this is true anyway!

My (genuine) Eberspacher has been running on kerosene for several years now. I can't see any reason why the Chinese heaters won't do the same.

On topic, are there any markings on the Hall sensor in your heater? Sometimes it it is easier to track down a raw component than a spare part.

My (genuine) Eberspacher has been running on kerosene for several years now. I can't see any reason why the Chinese heaters won't do the same.

i run my Chinese heater on kerosene no problem.

I've only used kerosene for my last two boats and the one in my workshop. It burns cleaner so they don't soot up.

I'm in the process of replacing my dead D4 with another new Chinaspacher, and providing I can find somewhere sensible to site the tank this one too will use kerosene.

The Hall sensor detects the fan speed.

The Hall sensor works on the Hall Effect (see Wikipedia for explanation) to detect rotation of the fan. Similar to the wheel rotation sensors on car ABS among other uses. As a component they may cost only one or two pounds, but probably not if bought as an assembled part from Eberspacher!

Heating oil is "kerosene" a word used by muricains to describe what we used to call paraffin ish! My description is correct 28 Second Kerosene Oil | Fast Heating Oil | Fuel Fighter. Twas I that wrote the article for PBO quoting Espar USA about cleaning Ebers with "kerosene" that got the Eber guy teed off.
So heating oil/kerosene/paraffin is 28 second ish. Diesel is 35 second fuel oil, a chemical marker and red dye is added to mark it as tax free ish.
