A final point, from me, on testing.
Management Consultants have built their careers on team building, encouraging, bonding. Management consultants use yachts to enhance their team building efforts. Here we have a disparate group of 'like minded' people who have some similar goals and a cross section of knowledge - some even have the background to design international test protocols.
But get them together to design a test on a critical item of kit
No chance.
In fact its embarrassing - constant back biting, constant criticism and in-fighting comes to mind.
Precisely why can the users not be more proactive? I know - no money in it.
What ever happened to altruism?
