Intending to go up river at the weekend. I haven't been up to Alcoutim for some years when I was able to moor on the pontoon overnight. Can anyone tell me if conditions have changed much ?

Moorings at Alcoutim were removeds years ago. You can anchor ,or use the pontoon at reasonable rates.

The only thing that I play is the fool and I certainly wouldn't be accepted by anyone who heard me singing but I tend to get on quite well by saying nunc est bibendum.

The pontoons are usually full but there is plenty of anchoring space. The good news is there is an hour difference between the Portuguese side and the Spanish side, when it's (say) 23.00 in Spain it's 22.00 in Portugal so whenever the bar closes in Spain dinghy over to the other side and get an hour of extra drinking time. Not that we did that of course ;-)

As remember it the beer and wine was cheaper in Portugal!
