As per my thread in PBO section I’m wanting to remove the many layers of antifoul on my boat. I’ll probably end up doing it myself by hand, but I may as well get a quote for having it done professionally. Any suggestions as to who to contact re this?

We had ours done at Melton Boatyard a couple of winters ago. It turned out to be a bi££er job than expected as areas of gel coat were falling off so it had to be peeled and epoxied.

If the boat has been epoxied it takes a skilled blaster not to go too deep. It's possible that you may have to apply some extra coats of epoxy and the surface will need to be super clean. .If the boat is in the open, the surface temperature can be critical and you might have to spend long periods of waiting. You probably know all of this but you may get a much better deal in the summer when things are quiet and the weather clement.
