however according to intructions you have to fill a form for which you get a code to pay the tax. The tool where to fill the form cannot be found so far....
The Register came the same time and i got confused my self. But its a difefrent story. The register doesnt apply YET for private vessels with non greek flag.

It does not apply to Private.
I will still call the ministry for an update but there is no reason here to believe the tax is here yet.
This register has been in use for a good 6 months or more. The provision ONLY apply to Greek flags and all charter boats of all flags.

[FONT="]The new tax was implemented as from Friday the 16th November. I am awaiting the details, which I will then need to get translated.[/FONT]
[FONT="]Some may be aware that a new computerised registration system was in use for Greek Flagged vessels, and other flags charter boats. This system is being expanded to include all other flagged yachts. [/FONT]
[FONT="]The tax and the method of collection is under the control of the Finance ministry, so I will need to get more details from there, and the collection process is under the Port Police.[/FONT]

Well, that’s just typical! We’ve just bought a 12.5m boat and put her on the SSR as 12.5m even though I did briefly think about 11.95, too bloody honest again! When will I ever learn?!
Been thinking about joining the CA so now seems a good time.......

Good job we had a season in Greece this year , time to visit some of the places we not been too for some years , south of France and SE Spain I guess .

Only in the event of the current deal, with its transitional period, coming to pass. This looks questionable. No deal = no transition.

- That the vessel owner is in England or elsewhere in the world without any means of registering or paying.
- That the vessel owner will only - as the law allows - want to pay for the months when he/she will be sailing the yacht in Greek Waters.
- That the owner/user of the vessel has had no chance to put the vessel OUT OF USE as is required so as to avoid paying the tax.
- That the Website for Payment www.aade.gr is in Greek and we are not tax payers in Greece, and do not speak or read Greek.
- I have tried to register - but I cannot as it requires that I enter a VAT number. I got no further. - I am not a business and am not conducting any business so have no need of a VAT number.
- What is the method of payment - Credit card? or what other method that a UK Citizen who does not have a Greek bank account will be able to simply make a payment.
- We have requested in the past that the payments should run from 30 days from the date of entry. There are many reasons that this would be a sensible policy to follow.
- Manual Payment of Tax. We note that there is a provision for the Manual payment of tax when the owner has been unable to register on line. This is via the Port Police. However this is not much use to us if we are not in Greece

Ok Chris , maybe I had one drink too much , but got no clue what's going on . Other then the tax is now in and has to be paid from 26 Nov .
