apologies if anyone got over excited. All credit to the Australian government and people for swift action

Geez... I'd be depressed to find the boat like that after 5 months, let alone 5 weeks!
Btw, what boat is she, if you don't mind me asking?
I can't recall to have ever seen those stanchion bases shaped into the deck mould...
+1 one more reason why boating up north is plain wrong :p
commiserations Farsco, does it at least clean easily?
I guess with all this rain and humidity it will wipe out just looking at it

So this is your fault then! ?View attachment 89137

Looks like my boat after a week. Tourist punters feed the gulls on the quay and they roost on the boats at night. Gelcoat is hard enough to clean but the canopy is a nightmare. By far and away the worst are the comorants. Their crap consists of ground mussel shell that dries and blows everywhere. If you dont catch it all it's like walking on glass. If a comorant takes to your boat you either have to move it or catch it and give it a good spanking and telling off. The latter is not easily achievable, I failed and had to move the boat. It took to the club sailing captain's boat. Boy was he pissed at me.

At my (inland) marina not too many gulls BUT we do have Ducks. If they take a likeing to your bathing platform it can turn from teak colour to white melamine in no time.

That's a great looking boat - perfect colour scheme with the dark blue topsides and yellow boot top.

Didn't realise we weren't meant to! We haven't been in lockdown here (western Australia) , just limited to group numbers and distance etc. Been great weather for boating so everyone has been out fishing, kayaking, sup'ing etc.. just only doing it with family. Only downside is our one destination, Rottnest island was closed to be used as a quarantine island for inbound residents.. no word on when it will be open again.. only have 40 active cases left here too!

Hopefully you guys will be out of the woods soon. My family there are going stir crazy.. so have no idea how you are all coping!

Steve
