I wouldn't be too sure about that.
The OP is looking for a grease for a folding prop exactly the same as mine and the Millers waterpump grease is perfect for that, whereas LittleSister is looking for a "high viscosity" thick grease as recommended by Varifold and the Millers also fits the bill for that.
Richard
But what Norman actually said was .
"I have a tube of the Darglow grease in front of me. The only thing on the label that gives any clue is NLGI 1 GRADE which is a softness grade as shown in this table https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NLGI_consistency_number
What make it is I don't know, and cannot tell whether it is lithium or calcium based.
EDIT. The Millers waterpump grease linked in the above post is NLGI 4 and therefore far too thick for a feathering propeller."

Folkboat Melody confirms that the grease Darglow supply is labelled NLGI 1
Which is the correct grade? The grade 4 grease you suggest or the grade 1 grease Darglow supply ? ...... Id stick with a grease the same grade as that supplied by Darglow.
We dont know what grade of grease Varifold supply .
