I have removed coachlines from cars using a hairdryer heat the area up and the strip peels off, but how do you remove graphics from the hull of a boat? Graphics are being replaced.

Same way, use a hairdryer to loosen the adhesive. and peel it off.

.....and then use acetone or adhesive solvent to finish the job.

Lighter fluid is also good at removing the sticky residual.

I use Autoglym Tar and Adhesive remover. Took a load of vinyl off a van this morning. Went over it with the Autoglym and its as if it had never had vinyl on it at all. Applied the new graphics and it looked good......well I would say that!

Removing graphics afloat

I am attempting to get out to my boat between the stormy showers and one of my jobs is to remove name (vinyl) from stern. I read a suggestion of near boiling water, this is going to take quite along time. Has anyone used this method successfully? I do not own a hairdryer never mind a 12v one.
