GPS Waypoint import

I have a Philips GPS Navigator Mk 8. Can anypone tell me how I can transfer waypoints to it using a PC? It only accepts WPL sentences.

It's straightforward if you have a suitable nav. application on your PC, I used Ozi-explorer, with my AP8, and still do so with my Furuno GPS. If you are clever enough, which I'm not, I believe that you can write and send the WPL sentences using Windows Hyper-Terminal, or so I have been told.

I used a program called Expert GPS . I do not know if it will support your gps but it might be worth a try . There was a free trial download on their website .
