Good Value Boat heaters

I have two now, still very pleased with them.
Latest addition was a remote control for about 4 quid so I can operate them as one unit!

Does a certain person with a Pr*nc**s cup his hands round his face and peer longingly through the window wishing he could upgrade to such a superior well heated craft

I Suspect there are many that do...……. But will they admit it :)

Low Cost heating from China...……. What ever next

Has anyone extended the wiring to the controller?
I need to, so the controller is in the saloon and heater in the engine bay ??

I looked at doing this but in the end didn't. I think however if you strip back the outer insulation to reveal the wires and simply splice and solder and heat shrink in wire of a similar thickness and provided it is not too far you will be ok. Obviously make sure the correct colour is connected to the correct colour

Thought I'd report back, as work is a bit quiet today I thought I'd strip the heater down and give it a service before the weather turns colder, the unit was in use five days a week all through the winter.
1. Strip down unit....5 minutes.
Inspect unit.....5 minutes.
Reassemble....lets be generous...10 minutes.
Total cost...£4.12 (Burner gasket)

Really clean inside, no real need to clean the housing.

What fuel are you using ?

Whatever I have to hand, white, red or paraffin, it seems pretty happy on any of them.
The only time I had a problem was when the glow plug failed, it was just over £10 for a new one....

I’m now thinking chinerbacher version for £200. (£130 heater and kit Plus £70 for upgraded exhaust, clips, silencer etc..)

Thank you for this thread BP and 6k. Judging this on value alone worth every penny ;)

Would just like to add that the one I bought last week DOES have a CE label on it....or is that a cheap chinese copy of a CE label??

It could mean China Export, one way to tell is to check the "E", if the middle of the "E" is indented slightly then it conforms to EU certification (unless of course the label is simply a copy).

How did it go?

I am thinking of doing the same. My ebber has died and as we are heading north need heating.
More than happy with mine. I fired it up for the first time since the Spring last week. It had to run through the start cycle 3 times get the fuel line primed, but then away it went. Took the cabin from 8oC to 25oC in approx 30 minutes, no smoke no nonsense.
