Good tide table for 2022?

I would like to access tide table data for 2021 and 2022 for Oban. Any suggestions? Ideally free and electronic in some form but alternatives will be considered.

I use the data for Falls of Lora tide predictions. Apparently, some keen kayakers plan their leave far in advance so they can play in the Falls. Having up to 2 years data is helpful. (It's only updated once per year so the data is between 1 and 2 years ahead). The predictions are based on several years of observations related to Oban tides.

Previously I have used WXtide version 2.7 which is very old but includes data for Oban. It has been compared to UKHO data and found to be up to 2 hours out in times this year though reasonably close on heights. Recently I tried using WXtide 4.7 which has predictions for Tobermory. Applying corrections to Oban, it compares better to UKHO but is still up to 1 hour out in tide times.

I have found a number of websites that offer tidal predictions. They are either based on limited to about the next seven days or WXtide so no better than what I have already. There is one exception willyweather which will predict tides very similar to UKHO for any date that I'm interested in but only in 5 day long blocks at most. So all the data I need seems to exist but only in a form that would be very tedious to access. Can anyone suggest a solution?

Thanks,
Derek

Belfield software (Belfield Software - SimplePage) will do you tide predictions for 2021 - 2023 for £21.99. Usually seem reasonably close to reality

OpenCPN has tidal data for Millport. So far as I can tell you would have to advance the prediction window one day at a time, so a bit clunky for 2022. But it's free. The harmonic table it uses is a bit out of date. But I have found it to be accurate enough for my purposes.

Edit: - It also has Tobermory.

For advance planning purposes, you can get phase of the moon info, so you can see when springs and neaps are.
Then you can translate that to a time of day for a particular location.
For example, Portsmouth Springs HW are always at lunchtime and slinging out time.
Plymouth it's more like Breakfast and tea time.

Worth doing for a reality check perhaps?

Imray Tides Planner has complete Admiralty tide data (heights, curves, and streams) out to 2022 for £3.99 per year, and you can pick the date from a calendar so no awkward scrolling into the future.

Here's the first of August 2022 by way of example:

(There's a little more data, such as sun and moon times, distance from springs and neaps, etc) available by swiping the bottom section).

EDIT: Just remembered you can also get a month at a time of just the numbers, no curve, which I assume is easier to use for your purposes:

That's close to what I'm looking for but I have encountered several snags:
1. There's a one-off £5.99 "licence fee" for UKHO data on top of £3.99 per year. (More a whinge than a snag.)
2. I can only copy 1 week of data at a time even thought the app shows 4 weeks of data after selecting a start date.
3. The copied data excludes sun and moon data (I'd like to include sun times).
4. The copied data uses an obscure code for the date, based on seconds I think since 1/1/1970.
All this is using the Imray app on an Android tablet.

I would like to have a method of copying more than 1 week at a time if anyone knows one. And including sunrise/sunset if that's possible.

Hmm, I'd never tried copying data out of it or particularly considered that that's what you wanted to do.

On iOS I get the proper date rather than a Unix timestamp, and I paid the UKHO license fee about ten years ago and long since forgot about it, but points 2 and 3 do still apply.

It's possible that the week-at-a-time limit might be imposed by the UKHO to inhibit bulk reuse - in fact, specifically to make life difficult for people like you :). You may want to check the license terms if you're republishing this stuff, because you're probably not supposed to.

It seems I'll have to buckle down then. It's a shame that the documentation doesn't give a bit more detail; at least I can't find any. On the other hand, I can't find anything prohibiting my usage of the data though ignorance of the law ...

Old Admiralty Charts used to give HWF&C (HW, Full and Change) for significant ports etc. Navigators would know the state of the moon, and could thereby estimate tide times. That was before the RYA, and tides to decimal places. ?
