Good source of SS bolts, screw etc.

When we were fitting out at Hamble Point I found a local supplier of small quantities of stainless bolts, srews, washers, nuts and bolts. He was selling £2.00 packs of SS self tappers. These varied from about 15 10X 21/2 to 70 or more of the smaller sizes to a pack. I bought a pack of each size some lengths of SS studding at £6.00 metre (M6 -M14) and he later made up and delivered bags of set screws, nuts washers, SS wood screws, pan heads, and machine screws at prices that you would be lucky to pay for zinc coated at any other supplier and they bore no comparison to 4 set screws in a blister pack from your local friendly chandler. He stocks metric but can get imperial if there is a demand.

Very good prices, they do Stainless Fasteners, Silicon Bronze Wood screws & Monel POP Rivets. There is a min order pf £2 though, not usually a problem, they do mail order as well. All much cheaper than chandlers.

John - be sure to find out if it's the right grade of stainless he is selling. I bought some SS screws from our local hardware store here in Florida, only to find they rusted after a time. Went back to West Marine for marine grade after that.
