I would have thought this fairly standard anywhere in Brittany.

All the marinas we visited along the French Atlantic coast offered to help us in and out, including towing us out astern from one particularly tight berth.

When I first experienced this in Turkey - a 'Jokerboat' comes out of nowhere and rams the side of the boat to help you in and out of your berth, I was a little surprised!

'Andy have you seen that rib?'

'ANDY!!'
