Having registered my disappointment with the overcrowding and lack of wind in the Ionian, I have to admit that September was better.
Left Preveza on Wednesday morning and tied up in Kalamata @ 16:10 today, Sunday. Rest day Saturday in Methoni - mainly for water and to eat ashore.
Anchored Pela PIgada, Katakolo and Methoni - only 4 boats in the last 2 compared to 20+ last month.
Only a total of 16 hrs of motoring, mainly through the Levkas canal.
Good favourable winds and easy seas, except the bit past Navarino entrance.
The Mantus performed superbly - but getting off the Katakolo and Methoni mud was a challenge - trailing it from the bow cleaned it after about 10'. The anchor works like a paravane - no knocking against the bow, immersed about 50mm from bow roller and roll-bar tie.

One amusement, the vast Italian catamaran in Pela Pigadi, who drove as through a chicane around Pela Pigadi, went to anchor and had a tantrum "Mia ancora.." was missing.
