Due to circumstances that I don't want to divulge I broke the aerial on my Garmin 128 GPS - pulled the co-axial right out and severly traumatised it. OK -what happened was that I got the stern line around it despite my darling wife saying 'Watch the stern line, WATCH THE STERN LINE!'

Can't be fixed, need a new aerial and cable. Nice Mr Garmin at the LBS says 'here's one for free mate'.

Pretty good hey?

Hey man,

you have surely got ythe wrong handle if you object to anything, I always thought Dylan was the doped up rabbit on magic roundabout, or maybe he was Dillon and you are unrelated, and a welsh cousin?

One of my best friends works in the service dept at Garmin and if the chap at LBS really called you mate then there is a very good chance that it was him;)

Seriously though, I have always found Garmin to be the tops for customer relations. I once dropped my iQue 3600 down the loo, (The pockets on my Henri Loyd fleece are just not deep enough) and they replaced it even though I admitted it was my own fault. Fortunately I dropped it before I had "Commenced" and not after!

Hey - if I'd broken a bit of kit and the supplier offered it free of charge they could call me anything they like!!
