I like the sound of the UKIP guy whose trod on the PC toes by stating that "no businessman in his right mind would employ a women of childbearing years"

It's time to challenge some of the "right on" thinking thats costing us all.

As it is I've employed several over the years but I don't like being pressured by HMG to carry on doing so.

Teflon government

Mandy gets a plum job despite his history;

the home office get a slagging for not giving guidance etc to police forces over data capture / use etc but Blunkett diverts attention by getting some chief constable the bullet for not being in a position to answer a question he was never asked. ( It didnt matter whether the Humberside plod deleted info from their files because the school in cambridge never asked for a reference)

Tony Bliar manages to whitewash the Iraq fiasco and dumps the blame on intelligence services

Scarlett (head of joint intelligence cervices) gets promoted because of services to Blair [when will we be told who was responsible for removing the caveats in the 45 minute dossier?]

It is now abundantly clear that the guy from the BBC was absolutely bang on with his assessment of the governments application of spin to the Iraqi war issue and that Greg Dyke was sacificed to massage the ego of the spinmeisters. As is now clear, truth, honesty and integrity are no defence against against a government that is morally bankrupt.

Should make for a fun by-election. If an MP dies or resigns for honourable personal reason (e.g. to spend last year with terminally ill spouse) the electorate is incredibly forgiving. If they feel they have been used as a stepping stone in the career of a politician on the make (who alleged can't tell mushy peas from avocado dip) they are merciless.
Anyone want to bet against another Lib Dem victory? With a good showing from Independent "H Angus", Football mascot and call centre worker turned Mayor of Hartlepool
