I expect that this information may have been posted already, but I have found some to be conflicting
As a result I wrote to a Belgian friend of mine living in Ostend for info on entry into Ostend
This was his reply, which may be of use to those wishing to enter Belgium via yacht
Coming from the local plod it would seem to be what is most likely to be encountered,
Here is his email:-

I have news from the Ostend Police for you. I wrote them and they gave me a good answer.

"It is the case that your friend must notify his arrival in advance via the following link:

htpps://www.politie.be/grenscontrole/nl/aangifte-pleziervaart

We will then check the administration based on this report and confirm it by return e-mail
An actual border control by our services in the marina is of course also possible, but not necessary
Naturally, those on board must be in possession of a valid passport.
As long as there are covid measures, these must of course also be followed.
Hopefully this is a sufficient answer to your question."

There are tabs to translate into English
Apologies if it has already been done to death

As a country we need people to form a forlorn hope to battle their way through the dangerous waters and foreign customs so they may report back to the many who wait to follow in their footsteps. You will receive the Order of Boris for such bravery. Gods speed.

Be fun if the Fastnet race actually gets to Cherbourg. That will sort the issues. If it all goes OK I can see masses of solent boats heading over to Cherbourg late August onwards if it goes well

Don't forget the 14 days quarantine before being allowed ashore using up your some of your 90/180 days in the Schengen Area.
