Whilst sitting on the piles (no funny comments pls) in Yarmouth Harbour last week, the inevitable maroons were fired, and a couple of minutes later the RNLI were on their way. After several hours they returned with a oldish Swan yacht rafted to them having towed it back from the middle of the Channel's main shipping lane after it's prop fell off, with not a breath of wind to get them out of harms way. Talking later to the elderly Swedish couple (the old guy had long white hair and beard and looked like Santa!!), it seems they were returning to their native country having been away from home for SEVEN years. They have been cruising just about everywhere form the Pacific to the Caribbean.
Now though, they have had enough of boating and are returning home..............to buy a caravan and tour around the world yet again with that!! Some people just don't know when to stop!!
