gimbal bearing puller alpha one

You've got to get the "fingers" that grip the bearing well tightened down , or else a lot of the energy from the slide hammer is lost. That's why I ground mine down, as standard the collar was barely applying any force onto the "fingers" to push the bearing ends of the "fingers" outwards. (sounds strange if anyone doesn't have the set, but I hope obvious to anyone that has !).

Yes Graham - I had to grind the fingers down as well to get enough purchase. The bearing wouldn't budge. Ended up breaking the puller tool twice (firstly the thread on the main bar and secondly the handle on the end of it). machine mart gave me a replacement bar.

Blunted 3 drill bits, went through several dremel discs and ended up getting an air powered die grinder.

After 3 days finally manged to get it out!
