Gibb pawl springs

For a Gibb winch. Anyone know where to get them? they are not like the Lewmar kind, they have one long leg with a ring at the end to fit over a little pin.

Regardless of the fact they may look different, I believe many people have successfully used Lewmar springs in Gibb winches.

I recently found harken pawls from a 6a fit the gibb 8 perfectly.The larger Lewmar ones dont fit though Im told the smallers ones do. As for the springs, gibb, small harken and small lewmar all seem to interchangeable with no problem.

Single strands of rigging wire can make effective substitutes for winch springs. The hardness of this type of wire is rather less than it should be for spring material, which means that it can be bent to shape but may not last quite as long as the correct stuff.
