my out drive leg that is

Just wondered if anyone has had similar problems. Volvo D4 with DPH-A leg (duo prop). Hydraulic trim with electric motor. The problem is that while it works when the engine is running, it does not raise or lower with the engine switched off, even if the ignition is on. Just wondered if anyone had any ideas if this is normal?

Cheers
rob

Should raise and lower with the engine off, check you have the engine battery master switches on as well as the ignition, secondly check the control lever is not accidently in gear when the engine is off otherwise the leg will not move, needs to be in neutral. Also make sure the key button is pressed on the EVC control panel to give control that station.

AH HA!
OK totally off subject but when I read your post and noticed your website I thought now where do I remember that from?????
Then I remember reading a For Sale advert of yours some time ago for your Leeward 18!
OK I didnt buy yours but I did buy another Leeward 18 ....
What cracking boats!!! (sold mine a long while ago also)

Thanks Nautical - have not tried the key button - will do.

I have exactly the same problem, and can confirm that all suggestions by Nautical, I have complied with. Don't know what's the issue, think I posted this same question already on this forum before but no real help came about.
