Gel coat mixture life after being opened?

A couple of years back I bought one of those 'plastic padding' 2 part tubes of gel coat to fill a small ding on the deck, will I be able to use the remaining 95 percent now or will a new pack be required?

What's to lose by trying it? The make I used a couple years ago did seem to have quite an extended shelf life, as it worked well at about 3 years old! If yours doesn't set or something, just scrap it off and buy new....

Not sure how old mine is but I get it out most years to do something.. certainly over 2, and it worked last time...

It'll keep going for years. The little tube of hardner usually either splits or runs out before the paste goes off. Some chandlers stock replacement tubes of hardner for folks like us who don't want to buy a new tube.

Best way of keeping your polyester gelcoat is in the freezer. I have some that is now 15 years old and still works fine.
