Just started this a few days ago and I'm down to the last few pages (I read on the subway mostly) and MAN it's such a great book. A little on the disturbing side at times, which I appreciate, but really touching at the same time.

Anyone else read it?

I read it about 15 years ago, never forgot it. I gave it to someone to read as I'd liked it so much, and didn't get it back. Have always wanted to read it again so obtained another copy about two weeks ago. Spooky that you should post now about it.
