This is the second year that I have owned the Storebro Royal Cruiser 34 Baltic Lux. I have two 175 hp Perkins on board. But here's the weird thing. Both motors are left-handed, as are the gearboxes and propellers. I'm looking for where to buy a box that 1) will fit Perkins 2) will allow to change the rotation to right. 3) Right rotation screw...Boat in Riga. Thanks for any information!

Hi Mark welcome...

Can you not just change the gearbox selection leaver to operate in the opposite direction, then just change the prop?

Had a pair of Perkins M130 with Velvet Drive 72C and counter rotating props. Probably the most robust and solid drive system ever had in any boat ever.

Not so easy. I had 2 Borg Warners on my Freeman 33 Sport.
Freeman’s set the boat up from new with contra rotating props. Issue is that the ratios for reverse is different, so the way they overcame this was to use a slightly different size of propellor.
All the sabre engined versions of the 33 were produced in the same way.

As i recall BW use 1 spline off eg 1:99 reduction or 2:01 Rather than constant running on same gears so for twin screw propellers differ slightly
