You know the ones, They last about 1 hour and cost lots. Why do they last for such a short time???. Dont answer that, I'm not interested.

Anyway..... surely someone else is as dissatisfied with them as I am. Surely someone has made an led version by now? Its just the logical thing to do, isn't it?.

Imagine, it just fits in place of the old sealed unit, in the same housing.

Well anyway, has anyone any ideas or know of a company making an led version?

Thanks John

I did a search about a year ago and did find a company that had them in LED. Can't remember the name and seem to recall that there were only available in bulk. IIRC, I found them by googling the classification for that type of bulb, something like "583M" or similar.

Let me know if you find some!

I'm pretty sure the GE sealed beam units are standard PAR36 lamps. If that's the case, there are LED versions available - just Google par36 led 12v.
