Garmin 232

Anyone got any experience of using this chartplotter. I generally see positive quotes re. garmin gear and just like the look of this one with the bigger screen ??

I recently bought one at the Boat show. Only using it at home at the moment to load waypoints . Looks very promising and the Blue chart covers from Brighton to Scilly Isles and Northern France.

Is it detachable for input at home and trip planning as such ?How do you find the screen size, thanks

I am powering it via its power Data cable from a 12volt battery works fine for planning. Screen size is fine, glad I went for the larger screen. I plan to have two mount position one in the cockpit and one by the chart table.
