Galvanic corrosion through shore internet hookups

Been doing it now for 27 years, you get used to the lack of booze and nookie! But if I drank all the time like I drink when onshore, my liver would call it a day!!

Consider This

Galvanic action occurs due to the difference between the earth bonding of the shore and that of the vessel, this problem is resolved by installing a galvanic isolator on the earth line of your shore cable.

A telephone hook up has its own isolated return built into the system so there should be know problem.

Better safe than sorry, with all things a glance at your anodes now and again is always worthwhile.
