The ex-owner of my boatyard is parting with this Sharpie that he built during his apprenticeship under Romney-Green around 1934. It is a beautifully made boat with a gaff-rigged bamboo mast. A couple of months ago, CB said that there were no gaff-rigged ones left so this could be an article for Dan Houston. Anyone fancy a project?

The boat's on Eel Pie Island in Twickenham. There is also a Hilliard (Sp?) that you can just see top left.

I think it is. The new owner of the boathouse is trying to clear the slip.

I'll get a phone number and price for you at the weekend.

I think that the Hillyard will definitely go. It hasn't been touched for at least 3 years. They took it out of the water and spent their time replacing the topsides and ignored the damaged hull. I'm sure it would be a good project for a capable and experienced person.

I will get full details on all the boats at the weekend. PM me a phone number and I'll put you in touch.
