Would it be wise after 14 years of use to remove the Selden furling gear out if the mast for inspection. There are no problems with the furling gear it is working as it ought to be working.
I am sure Seldon would be interested in the feedback and would advise if bearings etc reqired servicing but the old saying 'dont fix what a'nt brock' - just be thankfull
