I have a similar problem with my Colnbrook System. trouble is they do not seem to exist anymore & all the screws seem to be so corroded in they do not want to come loose. Anybody know got any data on this system?

Certainly can. Have to dismantle the bottom end a bit to get at the terminal, but the wire feeds in fine from the top, no problem.

I had the standing rigging replaced while my boat was out in Turkey (I brought the new rigging out from UK). I'm sure they simply fed the wire through. They had a lot of trouble fitting the rubber O-ring at the bottom of the Furlex and getting the circlip on over it. They botched it and I had to reassemble it all while lying at anchor. By the time I had done I needed a new circlip. I got on to Selden in the UK and they said mine was a discontinued model of Furlex and recommended that I replace the whole thing at a cost of £300+. Pretty poor stuff! I then wrote off to the parent company Selden in Sweden and got a free replacement circlip by return of post: more like it!
