Fuel Usage

If you are cruising at a regular speed (75% throttle) you will get about 5mpg.

Actual fuel usage during a day will vary greatly depending on what you are doing, lots of water sports and flat out running will see a fuel bill of anything upto 8 gallons an hour. Taking it easy on the river etc it will sip 1-2 galls an hour.

2.5 Galls an Hour, average usage?
Based on 6 an hour when I used a 20ft Colvic Sea Skate Fast Angler with a 115, 2 stroke Merc 4cyl .
2.5 Galls an hour on a 20 ft Hardy Pilot with a 75 hp Honda 4 stroke.
That Yam eng is a good un and quite good ref fuel consumption.

Never worked out mpg like the one eyed Yellow fellow!!!
Sure enough as blinkey says depends on what yer gonna do.
I used the above boats for cruising about.
So My figures are based on that kind of usage.
If yer gonna tow peeps and chase about a bit it's gonna cost yer!

So just enjoy anyway.
5.5 RIB, with a 90 Yam?
Fun doesn't get much better. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Hi
That Sea Skate wouldn’t have been Ronnie Boy by any chance would it?

Wayne

She was called ‘June111’ when I bought Her
Re named ‘Rrippoff’ by me
Sold Her to a Gent from Scotland
Hi
Ok thanks, this one’s been Ronnie Boy for years, strangely I bought it from a prison off a guy that used to be an inmate…. Funny day that was.

Roughly…you’d get about 1.5 miles per litre cruising in the 20’s, all being well with prop being suited and well trimmed. Probably about 14 litres per hour give or take at that. Flat out you’ll be about 40 litres per hour…give or take. Just an estimate, using a few engines similar I’m aware of or have owned
