... at least Bouba and family has a nice brand new white el. cart to go to all the beaches they wish (within a 150km radius from home I guess) as I doubt they're going to be using the boat this summer :-(

and on top of all that, I fear the cost is going to be much higher than if you'd go to a "can do" style independent boatyard in Sept/Oct.

No, thats what a Southerner would do. If the Welsh Med were in your shoes they'd invite him aboard. Show your largess and get them legless then take him to the Foreign Legion and get him to sign up for for 10 years of free grog. Bid your farewells and congradulations.

This is true, but with some of the wife's faceslap he'll lie convincingly. Not that the FFL are particularly picky, they'll take him on his word I'm sure. Canon fodder being canon fodder.

They said the tank will take ten days to manufacture, plus a day or two shipping, plus two or three days for installation....could be on the water this month (knock on wood)??

I think taking up smoking a pipe is the traditional solution to that.

When the old tank is removed...they can access the area to clean...but the space inside the keel is impossible to get to, doesn’t matter if the engine is in or out the boat....so I will probably just pour chemicals (natural and chemical)...and use my engine oil scavenger pump to keep removing it till eventually the smell and diesel residue leave..there is no shortcut

While the boat is at their yard I won’t be interfering...it’s not fair to expect the yard to stand behind their work if they don’t know where I finished and they began

in all due respect that's bull Bouba. It's your boat, it's out of warrantee, you pay for the bill, you ask for something, THEY do it and charge you for it!
