Fuel tank leak

The only comfort that you may derive is that you won't know or see what horrors they committed in removing and replacing the tank, whether they cut holes in the boat or moved the engine, unlesss of course they misalign it when repositioning it.

As a matter of interest what is on the other side of the bulkhead at the back of the tank?
The tank is at the end of the engine compartment and takes up the full width...so only the front is visible and accessible...the other three sides are right up against bulkheads...so it’s possible with surgery to access it...but it’s not something I would be comfortable doing

But what is behind the back of the tank as that may be the easiest access it's just an interest and academic now as the yard will do what they think is easiest.

Ok..the tank is under the kitchen floor...from the kitchen you step down two steps to the bedroom...so removing those two steps (which house the starter and house batteries) and cutting though some plywood and engine compartment insulation foam...will give you a glimpse of the tank...but not the full width...only the width of the hallway

Quick update....the boat is ready to be lowered into the water..the crane scheduled for tomorrow morning .the Beneteau people will then come and take her to their yard...then they will diagnose the problem and you will be the first to know
We wait with bated breath.

Latest update....the boat went in this morning...on time and without drama?......however...the Beneteau people (who earlier were so eager) say, ‘oh well, no hurry...we are very busy’...☹️?

Ok just an aside….
The fuel lines to and from my generator are particularly strong and lack flexibility….I remember the mechanic who installed the genny complaining at the time…so he only put them half on and used only one jubilee clip

This was most noticeable when I bought a short length of 10mm fuel line for my pressure testing. Those lines were lovely and with little effort went on the tank fully.
Meanwhile my old lines…l tried lubricant, boiling water, heat gun, all the strength I could muster…and I could not expand them enough to get them on more than halfway ?

Took it to my bench grinder and…

it worked perfectly ? so now my genny fuel lines are on fully and doubled jubileed

Do the Beneteau people have a forum account to ensure they tell us before they tell you? ;)

I think I'd just grind down a spare piece of metal and use Mole grips to save €25. I'm stingy and it goes against the grain to buy a new tool and then use a grinder on it. :D:D
How would it work? The pipe expander expands inside the pipe, uniformly widening it...it was impossible to just shove something in and force it down
