Fuel sensor problem

My port fuel sensor has packed up. Swoped it with the starboard one to prove the case so it's definitely the sensor at fault.
It's a lever and float type with VDO145 printed on the resistor plate.
Has anyone just replaced the resistor plate or can anyone give me some guidance on replacement

Never seen parts sold separately for them, they are not a lot of money complete.

You're right they are not too expensive so not worth mucking about. Have ordered one from Sealine man, Nick Seabridge.

ebay has lots of, does not have to be VDO.
