I know even less about ice yachting than the watery kind, but I'm guessing they go pretty damn fast?? In which case they would be outlawed on every Lake in the National Park. (Windermere has 10mph limit) Or it would be a pretty boring spectacle.

Tuesday the lake was fairly frozen. these shots from the layby near Beech Hill HotelThe marina wasn't too good on Sunday. We were hoping to get out on the lake for a winters cruise but the ice was most of the way around to the entrance of the marina.
I undid the hose from the seacock to the Jabsco impeller and poured neat antifreeze in, turned the engine over and put some more in. Thus the impeller is "protected" however I will pull it out in the spring and check it.
