Hi Andie. Kinsale is the primary destination where we plan to be based for the next month, but visits to Cork City, Cobh, Drakes Pool, Castletownsend, Glandore and Courtmacsherry are all on the cards if the weather is suitable. Thanks for the update Noel, great pics btw. Are you continuing around to Cork, it looks as though you are pretty much on the extreme SW corner at Baltimore.
Here in Kenmare where I live there is an annual event that includes a run out to the Bull rock. Through the hole that previous mariners believed was a portal to another world. Some footage of this event is available on YouTube. Search Kenmare bull run and it should come up after a million videos of idiots being gored in Pamplona!
Thanks really enjoyed looking at those videos. I often wondered if the cruiser would fit under at suitable tide.
Compliments from the marine photo maestro are too kind. I got lucky with some of the pics, the one with the RNLI lifeboat and moon was f5.6, speed 1/200, focal length 150mm on a rather inexpensive Nikon 18-200 lens. I was rather busy weight anchor and just grabbed the camera when I saw the scene.Fab pictures, specially those moon pics are amazing! What lens/focal length did you use? I tried shooting the full moon but failed miserably.
Thanks for the update!
Fantastic pics Noel, Please don't stop posting a log of your trip.:encouragement:
Thanks MrB. Will do. Taking a few days break and then back.
