Fresh water flushing

The ammonia in urine reacts with the calcium in sea water to create deposits of calcium chloride which is hard like rock and coats the inside of hoses, pipes and tanks. It can also break off and clog the outlet of the tank.”

I would never have a boat without freshwater flush… too many past problems caused by this.

Thanks for all the replies. I'm going to leave it as is now and flush with fresh water from the shower while in Port.
Confirmed it is a Jabsco electric and I guess it's a little noisy but I don't think it will bother me. Not enough room to fit one of the fancier toilets with the integral scroll style pump/macerator.

I think that is a good way to go. Just remember to put some HCl down when you winterise to stop the calcium building up.
