French sortie

Does anyone know when the wind is going to calm down ? I was hoping to make a French sortie to Dieppe on Monday to stock up with booze after the Christmas season . The weekend forecast doesn't look good F6-7+ . The boat hasn't seen much action since the New year. Just a couple of trips round the pier . Is any body on the south coast looking for a winter convoy to Dieppe in the next couple of weeks subject to weather , Or are you all lightweights ?

I think in this sort of blow, lightweights is good! - heavy weight might mean having a look at Davy Jones' little box!

I made a decision a few years back about maximum conditions , Gale Force 1 moderating excepting if in the Solent, then Force 2 Moderating.

Hi Mark go on the BBC.co.uk weather, click on winds it downlaods 6 slides and you can then
look at wind arrows/directions for next three days. Also Onlineweather.com, for good synoptic charts.
Don't think Mondays gonna be any better.
