does anyone know how much it costs to transport your mast from le harve to port st. louis via transport rather than having it on top of your yacht. is this the best way?

It depends how long the mast is . . .
if there isnt much of an overhang, take it with you. It wont get lost, and its also handy for proping the bikes against!

Agree with second part of your responce and re-inforce the caveat about overhang. In this litigious age the danger of poking either end of your mast through the wheelhouse windows of a lee-than-expertly -handled hire boat, does not bear contemplation. A couple of large plastic buckets are essential. Sorry cannot help on costs of mast transport. Enjoy the trip.

The yard at Port Napoleon can organise mast transport to/from Le Havre. ABout £350 on their own transport. English speaking guy whose names escapes me I'm afraid.

is this something you have done yourself? when you say it is about £350 does this depend on the length of your mast? have you the telephone number of this chap?
