Needing charts from L'aberwach to La rochelle what is the best and most economical way of purchase?

I was quite surprised with the prices on Amazon market place for the Imray charts , French coast, considerably less than the chandlery even with the postage.

You might find these interesting:-

You can get them from most chandlers in France and by mail order.
The Navi Chartkits are probably the cheapest way of getting the coverage you need.

Otherwise you can get the full size charts as well (from the same place) - but that works out expensive for a full set.
I wish I'd spotted this before buying a load of Imray (which I don't really like). They look like the equivalent of admiralty leisure portfolios which I love - fit nicely on the chart table with no folds, and of course that is a great price for the coverage.

Although some of them are rotated - i.e. the North/South axis is on the long side and not the short. Rotated this way it no longer fits my chart table.

I suggest you first check if you like the Navicarte graphics, they are quite different from regular charts and may not suit everyone tastes (not mine anyway)
example, (I could not find a more detailed picture and Bloc Marine is on the boat)

FWIW I do have all type of charts for that area, I usually end up using Imrays, + a few French charts when I need more detail (Glénan archipelago, Golfe du Morbihan, etc)
