Fox's Marina (Orwell) & Covid 19

I had intended to move from Fox's to SYH on 1st April with the boat being launched on 31st March. Obviously Covid 19 got in the way and I was launched on 18th May and went to SYH the next day. Fox's have not charged me for hardstanding from 1st April so a public thank you to them.

They said they would waive the storage charges for those who had already booked their lift in, but not those of us who had not yet done so.

No reduction for electric off, toilets locked and gate shut. No work on boat possible even if compliant with lockdown rules. Mildly irked.

Was due a lift out in Ipswich first few days of April and Lee had arranged it for me at Fox's. Unfortunately wasn't able to do so as they had closed but he kept me up to date even though they were not open.

Hopefully get sorted next month!

It's always easier to get forgiveness than it is to obtain permission.

Crows no problem if you hsve a rapid in .20calibre

Haven't stayed there but visited - seems a tidy, well run place and the chandlery is very good.

Yep a bit windy, but a lovely walk around the area today. We found loads of wild plums. Yesterday, walked to Pin Mill & back - lunch at the Butt & Oyster of course.

Yes, my boat is here permanently. Nice now the wind has dropped and the Sun has come out.
