It seems to be working fine for me even down to the mid morning marking of everything read whether I have actually read it or not.

Must say I am having problems with it, almost certainly not to do with the forum but with local conditions. Opening posts sometimes incurs huge delays, PMs take an age and Liveaboard forum, for some reason, I find extremely slow. This doesn't seem to be my computer as the same thing happens with my other one. I suspect my broadband link, which is not known for its bandwidth.

Having said that, it only occurs with ybw, so there's more to it than just my connection. I'm running XP home version and IE7.

I equally find the auto read facility unique to ybw, much has been promised but little seems to happen, mind you the credit crunch may well be to blame, it seems to have screwed everything else up.

Try Mozilla Firefox as your default instead of IE. It made a difference for us.
However, the Forum does run slow and can be frustrating at times but , as has often been said here, the problem is that it is an old system and there seem to be no signs of any planned investment to improve things especially now with the mag companies as cash strapped as everyone else.

Took 4 seconds from click to full load of page, and that from Oz.

Try Firfox 3, then have at look at the range of add on's and speed tweaks available.

You will still need internet explorer for some web pages, but fewer every day now.
