I am Nigel C. Luther, Marine Surveyor who normally posts on Reader to Reader. I organised a meeting of Forum Boats inthe Solent April 6-7-8 from my desk in Estonia - Baltics and it went very very well. Unfortunately I miised it due to the Yard not completing reapirs to my craft in time.

I am now asking for attendees again, this time for July 6-7-8 in the Solent, Power / Sail whatever ..... all are welcome.

Proposed itinery at this time, subject to anyones better suggestions / agreed by all participants :

July 6 evening and night at Folly Inn, IoW July 7 around to Bucklers Hard Marina, Beaulieu for the evening and night. July 8 up to you, I will continue cruising the Solent and welcome others to go with me ....

Last time we Booked the private pontoon of Folly and also in Yarmouth ..... made for very comfortable Get Together.

I can be reached either by clicking on my name above or if that does not work :

nigel.luther@qualityservice.com

I need Boat details - length, draft, name and where you'll be coming from - so that we can set up communications and link up for the day.....

Come on join the fun

Cheers Nigel

Sorry but we're all going to Sue's disorganised rally on the 6 July.

Funnily enough it's being held at Yarmouth IOW and also maybe at the Folly Inn.

The yacht would be usefull cos we are having a compitition to tow one up to planing speed !!

We are also a bit short of planks for the. Walking Them, compitition so bring some of them along too please!! Oh and a life jacket if you cant swim!!

Sorry comunication is not possible cos this is a

DISORGANISED RALLY.

No I do not .... Bluebeard is NOT me and also please note that I do show my e-mail address as a sign of good faith.

Second after consulting with the other 6 boats already agreed to atend, the itinery is changed to :

July 6th Folly Inn July 7th Hurst Point Beach BBQ, then across water to Yarmouth July 8th break-up and go separate ways.

Motor boats / sail boats all invited, but we need numbers and details to book pontoon space etc.

This is genuine and not a wind-up .... check Reader to Reader, Forum Get Together postings ....

Offers still there if you want ? We have 6-7 boats so far and more are expected .....

Cheers Nigel

Re: Come in Sue Testing Testing

What do you think Sue.

Theres six boat fulls of Lithuanian imigrants want to come to the party.

It's going to be like the bloody Boat People from Hong Kong !!

Should we establish diplomatic communication !!

Or inform the coast guards.

Come in testing testing !!

Re: Come in Sue Testing Testing

Hmmm. The original precepts were 'all welcome'.

I presume that the Lutherians have engines - the first requirement for attendance, and that they will not wear caps with anchors on them - the second. I will contact this friendly chap with a view to avoiding a bifurcation.

I wonder if they are aware of this forum's penchant for carousing in the flesh-pots of Yarmouth. I shall enquire....

Re: Come in Sue Testing Testing

Why does there have to be a Oil and Water flavour .... I have no bias about sail / power / etc. I choose sail out of personal preference ... but enjoy and have spent considerable time with motor boats of all types, even stint with cathedral / tunnel hull racers in Ireland ....

Come on, I promise no silly hats, no arguments / sail debates against power from me / my fiancee ...

Let's show that we can all get on ... do us all good to look at the water from the other side ?

????

Cheers Nigel
