Listen, don't you start! I've got enough to contend with the North Wales mob giving me stick. But I've seen the light you see, mind you I might change my mind over winter ;) It wont be for a couple of years or so in any event.

Think i understand where you're coming from. I've also been thinking of what i'd buy next. Fuel costs are an issue and i've been thinking of a wind driven cat, or to be totally opposite, a twin engined 10m cruiser lol. A lottery win would be the best answer (not a tenner, need the Euro lottery jackpot).

I think I'm spending less on fuel now, than I was when it was 28p.

We are mostly outside, but always have the option. Great vews from inside with the heating on.
Dont do many long trips these days, dont know whether it's the expence, old age or older boat.

Just learned after two weeks on the boat, that Debs wanted to go to IOM.

No reason not to most of the time. Just only 18 knots and auto pilot on the blink. Just means you have to steer, which is a bit of a bummer.
