Would like to fit a diesel/parrafin heater (not a blown air type) to my SHE 31 . don't have a lot of space. the force ten apears to be a bit cheaper than some but have never seen one .Can anyone advise on its effectiveness etc, or on alternatives please.

Fit a Taylors if you can.
If you follow a simple set of rules they are very reliable and cheap to run.
Plus they give a a reasonable amount of heat.

I removed a Forrce Ten from my boat when I bought it -- it was heavily corroded. Replaced with a Dickinson Newpoert -- great device -- looks nice and yiu can see the flames dance.

I fitted a Force 10 gas heater a few years ago to my previous boat. It was very good. Had a oxygen depletion device that turned off the gas if the oxygen level dropped in the space. It gave good service. I used to get sea water washing the decks occasionally and this used to go down the flue. It caused some corrosion that eventually stopped the peizo ignition from working. It also blocked the gas jet so had to clean it out occasionally. Apart from this it was a great heater. I believe it is still in use by the current owner.

My current boat had a Dickinson Newport but this would be too large for your She31
