Trigger's broom comes to mind!

Ah yes, I think I've got one of those.

I tend to agree with the majority about the time, cost and overall worthwhile-ness (is that a word?) of this particular project.

Its not as if there are not loads of other folkboats about.

One tends to wonder why exactly this one was allowed to get into this state in the first place because before she did, she was easily salable. Now, as ebay has proved, they cannot even give her away.

Should cover about 50% of the crane and truck costs!

So then you will end up with a boat with no keel, but at least she will be in the place where you want her. Then you can flash up the chainsaw and keep toasty warm for the winter. :encouragement:

I also have one. I bought a mirror dinghy off ebay a year or so ago. I only wanted the trailer for another craft, but taking the trailer was conditional that I took the dinghy. When I got her home, my romantic old neighbour looked at the rotted out bow, where she had been stored upside down into the ground, and said 'we can repair that, you can't turn a wooden boat that floats into firewood, its sacrilege'. So we took it down to the river and, damn it, it was as dry as a bone. It's still taking up garage space unfinished!

True, O King!

But it sometimes happens that the spars sails and rigging have been dry stored and are good.
