Floating Lines
Nothing makes me reproach myself more than buying a product only to find afterwards that there was a possible better alternative which I had missed /overlooked. If you considering replacing mooring or towing lines this season, you may like to know there is a new rope product coming to the market shortly by a British manufacturer called ” Floating Ropes”. I saw these floating ropes being trialled in Lymington by the Rescue services, liked what I saw and made enquiries This is a ‘heads up’ notice only, I am not connected with the company and I have no pecuniary interest.

Floating Ropes is a water rescue training company. Are you looking for this type of line:
ropelocker.co.uk - Edelrid Canyon / Floating Rescue Rope

If you want nice ropes, don't buy cheap polypropylene - too rigid.

I have some really nice floating rope that we use for tying back to the rocks etc.
I can't help with a supplier - we bought it from Sardinia when we were out there a few years ago.
But it is worth getting the right stuff - IMO, it needs to be flexible.

Our stuff floats really well.

And flexible enough for SWMBO to tie a bowline.

So, thats the spec - sorry I ca't help with the supplier or manufacturer
