Flags, etiquette and Respect.

At our clubs centenary sailpast last saturday I did not have a cravat so i added a long black tie to the top of my red duster. I doubt anyone noticed but the intent was there.
A photograph of it has been sent to Garter King at Arms.

You may expect Beefeaters to come knocking at your door ere long.

Fascinating to see today the number of flags lining the funeral route that appeared not to conform to the oficial guidance above. Miles of Union Flags on 60deg going horizontal inclined poles down the Mall and elsewhere with no cravats, the Royal Barge (!) ditto.

Clearly this entire business is a very flexible one!

Well, maybe they'll get it right next time! :D

How utterly pathetic to see such a disrespectful, infantile and totally unfunny post from poignard.

For shame man, today of all days.
